What do Physiotherapists do?

What do physiotherapists do?

Physiotherapists are experts in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of injuries and physical conditions.  They look at the entire person with the aim of alleviating pain, restoring normal movement and providing long term solutions to musculoskeletal problems.  Furthermore at The Physio Clinic here in Bristol, we believe in getting the patient back to full function, meeting and exceeding patients’ goals through rehabilitation and preventative exercise prescription.

Who can see a Physiotherapist?

What do physiotherapists do?

Physiotherapy is available to everyone. You do not need a doctor to refer you for private physiotherapy. Physiotherapists are primary care practitioners and act as a first point of contact for patients, just like your GP. They also accept referrals from GP’s and consultants, which is necessary if claiming under private health / medical insurance.

Not sure if Physiotherapy is appropriate for you?

Why not give us a call on 01454 85 44 66 and speak to one of our Chartered Physiotherapists in complete confidence. After a brief chat we can usually tell you if a physiotherapy assessment is appropriate. We can then arrange a suitable time for your initial assessment and treatment session.
