Can I use my Medical Insurance / Health Cover?

The Physio Clinic and its Physiotherapists are registered and recognised by all major Private Medical Insurance Companies including BUPA and AXA PPP. Please call us to request confirmation of individual physiotherapist’s provider status and provider number.

It is usual procedure to see your GP or Consultant first to claim under most insurance companies but contact your insurance provider to check their policy.

If you claim under a cash back scheme, you normally don’t need to get a GP referral, but please check if you are unsure.

We can provide a headed receipt for all transactions that you can use to claim back through your cash back scheme or medical insurance.

What do I bring to my first session?

Usually you do not need to bring anything specific with you to take part in treatment.

If you are intending to use your private medical insurance then please bring a record of your membership and authorisation numbers.

If you have had a scan or medical procedure it can be useful to bring along any letters or reports you have regarding your current injury.

Sometimes it is beneficial to bring a list of medications you are currently taking.

What should I wear?

It is best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. It is often necessary for us to be able to see the skin around your injury and therefore we recommend you bring shorts and wear sensible underwear.

It is sometime necessary for us to go down to the gym, in which case a pair of trainers or suitable exercise footwear is recommended.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, by all means, you are welcome to be accompanied during sessions if you wish.

Can I see a professionally registered physiotherapist?

All our physiotherapists are registered members of the Health Professions Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
