What is Matwork Pilates?

Matwork Pilates is a combination of exercises consisting of strength, mobility and stretching that are completed on an exercise mat. The main them of Matwork Pilates is maintaining a central core of stability during movement, with focus on breathing and body awareness.

How do our classes run?

Each class is 45 minutes long, broken up into a warm up, main exercises and a cool down. Class sizes are small (6 max per class) to ensure your instructor can give you the attention you need, to make sure you are using the correct technique and to provide you with individual feedback.

Small equipment such as Pilates Balls, Therabands and Foam Rollers are incorporated into the classes to either aid or challenge you during the class.

Your class or 1-2-1 session will be led by a fully trained Pilates instructor who is also an Injury Rehab Specialist. With their knowledge of how the body works and of your condition, they can modify your Pilates exercise to best suit your ability and fitness levels. This ensures your exercise will be safe and effective for you.

When do our classes run?

We offer our Pilates Class as a series of 6 sessions, progressing week by week.
